Menus are in Japanese only and summarized on their website. There are only four savoury options: pottage, salad Lyonnaise, lasagne and cake salรฉ priced between JPY 1,300 and JPY 1,500. You're required to order a drink so the cheapest option is to order a set: JPY 1,850 gets you your choice of savoury item plus bread and a drink. For another 550 yen you can add a dessert or if you just want cake the dessert set is JPY 1,500. I chose the salad Lyonnaise set.
Bread arrived first which was served with salted caramel butter. I would have preferred something neutral to spread but the bread (a kind of ciabatti) was so good it didn't need anything on it.
Unfortunately the salad was quite poor: the egg was runny but not warm, the potatoes tasted like they'd been reheated from cold, the bacon tasted too much like microwaved Spam and there wasn't enough dressing for the single choice of salad leaves.
I'd been looking forward to coming here for a while so this was particularly disappointing since this place is so popular but mainly because the baked goods are so good. Taik bake&coffee opened after Wellk on the ground floor, is run by the same team and at both places there's a showcase with a number of bakes available for eat-in and take-away. I've had many take-away bakes from here and they might be the best I've found anywhere in Tokyo. Proper bakes with a proper amount of sugar and butter: the full-fat kind you just don't really get in Japan and a decent size. It's hard to believe that whoever is doing the baking here is also making the salad. Stick to the (take-out) coffee and cakes.
