There are a couple of small, high tables and a counter but if the weather is nice then you can sit on the terrace (shared with other restaurants on the same floor), which has a great view of the Tokyo Station area to the East...
...and Kokyo Gaien to the West...
First the Onion Rosemary Burger (¥1,408).
There was a faint flavour of rosemary. The meat was cooked medium, was juicy but had a fairly ordinary flavour. The bun was excellent.
Next the Premium Kobe Beef Burger (¥3,250).
The 100% Kobe patty had a much deeper flavour of beef than the Rosemary and there was more of it. I wasn't so keen on the sauce and onions. It only tasted great when you ate the meat separately or with the part of the bun that had been properly caramelised on the grill. Worth ¥3,000+? No.
There was no gristle in either burger. The burgers were served with a thimble of "sauerkraut". This was so overpowered with anise or tarragon or fennel it was like chewing on licorice and I left the second portion. At lunch burgers come with a portion of fries. Super thin and crisp, look great. Sounds great? Unfortunately they were practically cold and so thin and dry and tasteless they were like eating oily paper. They're positioning this as a premium burger restaurant but they use cheap frozen fries. I was shocked that this chef would put his name and branding to something as poor as this. Also, the portion size was very much "JP" and not "NY".
Perhaps I should have gone on the chef's track record on his other burger restaurants rather than on his (excellent, review to come) fine dining restaurant. The Burn (one visit, 2023) was disappointing. Chillmatic is expensive and the reviews aren't great so I removed it from my "to visit" list a long time ago. I put it back on after my meal at No Code but after this it's off again.
The best thing about this meal was sitting outside on the terrace and enjoying the sunshine.
