Rita opened in August 2022 and became very difficult to reserve very quickly.  It's omakase only, priced at JPY 12,000.

The best dish in the course was the uni, somen, soramame, peas and olive oil.  Olive oil is not traditionally used in Japanese food so this was a very unexpected and welcome surprise.  Next best was probably the kaki, hotari ika and rice though it was let down by the topping of deep fried nanohana leaf, which is always just going to taste of burned oil.  The imo croquette, which is made from 100% potato, and the sauce made from the skin didn't do it for me.  Apart from the sashimi course (which, by the way, was very small) all the dishes were "wet" so there was a definite lack of difference in texture throughout the meal.  There was a choice of rice dishes but these were quite disappointing.  There was no proper takikomi gohan, i.e. rice cooked with other ingredients, but rather white rice served with a choice of toppings added after the rice was cooked.  I chose karasumi (and got shigureni instead, pictured) and gyu suji curry (no picture).  The curry was just sauce and not memorable.  Dessert was three kinds of strawberries stewed in white wine, Champagne and tea served with ringo "gari" and fukinoto granita.  It was a all a bit samey.

I had the tea pairing to drink, which consisted of 4-6 cups.  These were all good.  The chef has a range of antique pottery which is beautiful to look at.

Owner/chef Daiki Ito runs the restaurant single-handedly.  He's worked in restaurants before but didn't reveal where.  He doesn't speak any English and you need to be able to speak Japanese to get a full understanding of the dishes.

At JPY 12,000 it's good value for money but I didn't think it was great, because there was only one really good dish.
