🥖 Bakery / 📍 Azabu-Juban

Pointage is primarily a bakery but has an eat-in space and eat-in menu.

I chose the salad plate.  This included quinoa, beetroot, brie, prosciutto and chickpeas.  A pile of lettuce is hidden underneath, for which there wasn't enough dressing.

All plates come with a selection of bread which is kindly warmed before serving.  You're given a bag to take-away any bread you can't finish.  Bread came within five minutes after ordering, salad after another five.

The eat-in option is a really cost-effective way of sampling a number of the breads on offer in the bakery and if you consider the location and the time it takes to put together a salad of this many ingredients it's outstanding value.  But the ingredients in the salad were supermarket quality and the bread was very average.

If you're local, less fussy than I am and looking for a(nother) cheap source of vegetables you might be very happy.  But Crisp Salad Works is still the best salad in Tokyo.
