Jinbo Minami Aoyama occupies the premises vacated by Hamasaki, which moved to Togo Jinja in April 2022.  Owner/chef Yoshinaga Jinbo was previously at Hatake Aoyama, which closed in February 2018.

A 6-course lunch is priced at JPY 7,480 while an 11-course dinner is priced at JPY 17,000.  Prices increased by 1000 yen in November 2022.  In December only a "Christmas" menu was available for another 1000 yen.  On my visit I went for lunch.

I didn't score every dish.  For pasta a choice between sardine and radicchio or hairy crab spaghetti.  Of course I went for the latter.  At dinner fresh pasta is used but at lunch it was spaghetti from a packet.  It's hard to get excited about pasta from packet and the best element was the aubergine puree.  For main a choice between fish (grouper) or pork or both for an extra JPY 2,500.  I chose the fish which was fine.  The best dish was probably the dessert of Mont Blanc which was a large portion and included very high quality chestnut and chocolate.  Coffee was refilled without asking and served with a lemon macaron and honey madeleine.  Bread is made in the kitchen.  The foccacia was a bit doughy but the baguette was better.  There was a good selection of non-alcoholic drinks mixed in-house by sommelier and restaurant manager Yuta Sekimoto who could speak good English.  There were no real errors with the cooking and all the ingredients were very good quality but I prefer the more robust flavours of Il Lato.
