A new sushi restaurant in the heart of Shibuya.  The cheapest nigiri lunch is JPY 2,980 while dinner courses start at JPY 6,980.  The 3k lunch comprises chawanmushi, 7 nigiri, makimono, tamago and soup.

Rice was decent.  Tuna is supplied by Yamayuki.  The chutoro was very good and along with the small anago these were easily the best two pieces in the course.  The akami was less good, more like summer tuna and not zuke.  Kinmedai was a bit flavourless and the buri a bit fishy.  Chawanmushi was highly seasoned but I enjoyed it.  Miso soup was excellent.  Salmon was too cold and I can't remember eating salmon sushi in years.

You might say "what do you expect for 3k?" but if you order the 7k lunch (as the only other two guests in the restaurant on my visit did) you get the addition of clear soup, a plate of five small appetizers, a mini ikura and uni donburi, one extra nigiri and salmon is swapped for something else but otherwise the course is identical so I don't think it's worth the extra.

There was no conversation from the chef whatsoever who passed the time filleting fish.  Multiple pieces were served at once so the course was completed very quickly.

Most of the cost of the ingredients would have been in the tuna and it made me suspicious of restaurants that start the course with chutoro.
