Hamburg Yoshi is the latest copy of Hikiniku to Come opening just last week.  The only thing really to do in this review is to point out the differences between Hikiniku to Come and an earlier copy, Arabikidaze (review here).  So if you're not familiar with this dining format (and it is a format now) read my review of Hikiniku to Come before continuing.

Hamburg Yoshi is conveniently open all day so I arrived at 3pm on a weekday and unlike at Hikiniku or Arabikidaze there was no queue or ticket system.  The touchscreen you order from has English for the actions but not for the menu items and cards are accepted.  I was in fact the only person in the restaurant for a little while.  Because of that the food took a little longer to arrive than I might have anticipated because there were no burgers already in the process of being grilled.  I counted 21 seats.  As I had no-one next to me I didn't really notice how much room each diner gets but I did notice the tiny stools, just like the ones at Hikiniku.  The grill is set back, away from diners, it's a much larger space than Arabikidaze and with apparently excellent ventilation there was no smoke in the restaurant so you won't need to worry about continuing your shopping in Harajuku while smelling like a hamburg yourself.

The food would arrive after 15 minutes.  The burgers are somewhere between those at Hikiniku to Come and Arabikidaze: soft enough to cut through with your chopsticks like at Hikiniku, the meat with perhaps with a slightly better flavour but no real crust and definitely not with the same punch as Arabikidaze's.  There was one, small, piece of gristle in my burgers.  The set comes with a demiglace sauce which was enjoyable but if the meat had more flavour I wouldn't have eaten as much.  Miso soup was poor and the tsukemono weren't much better.

At 1,800 yen it's 3-400 yen more expensive than its predecessors and on the food alone, not worth the extra.  If it's possible to eat here without having to get a ticket or queue up then Hamburg Yoshi is a handy alternative but, for me, Arabikidaze is the pick of the three and it's the cheapest.
