There are a few different course menus to choose from but I went for the cheapest weekday-only lunch menu at JPY 3,800.The restaurant is set on the second floor of a well-lit building. The counter is set under the window facing out of the restaurant so if you dine there you'll have your back to the room. Furnishings are cheap but cutlery is Cutipol - a strange juxtaposition.
Things got off to a bad start with a 'boudin noir' that was high on sugar, but after that every dish was better than the last. Quail 'kushiage' was a little dry but had good flavour. The main 'dish' of homemade pasta with coarse beef mince ragu had deep beef flavour. Two pastas, bread, fried poultry, gratin - after dessert I was stuffed and couldn't manage the monaka that came at the end. Felicelina isn't a truly Italian restaurant - using Japanese ingredients and priding itself their provenance. But if you want a cheap, filling, multi-course lunch it's a great choice.
Since my visit in November 2020 the cheapest lunch course is now 7,480 including tax.
